CargoVault is a European company with global branches. When your shipment crosses an ocean or a customs union Europe is not part of, it is met on arrival by our own people — not auctioned to a local agent. We charge a stated border fee so the price you see is the price you pay.
Inside Europe a trailer rolls from Manchester to Madrid on one set of papers. The moment cargo leaves the continent it becomes an export at one border and an import at another, with two sets of declarations, two authorities and two liability regimes. That work is real, so we price it openly rather than hiding it in the freight rate.
Every country listed here has a CargoVault office or a permanently contracted partner desk we audit. Your cargo is received by our own people, not auctioned to whichever agent was cheapest that week. That is the difference between a delay you hear about and a delay nobody can explain.
The branch charge below covers destination clearance, terminal handling, local compliance filing and the first stage of inland delivery. It is added to your normal freight quote and shown on the estimate before you commit — never invoiced afterwards as a surprise.
Each surcharge is added once per consignment, on top of your normal weight and mode based freight quote, and it is already included in the estimate you see when you book.

No shared border with Europe, so every consignment crosses on a deep-sea or long-haul air leg and is re-entered by our Newark branch as importer of record support.

Handled through our Ontario branch, including inland rail forwarding to Alberta and British Columbia at a fixed onward rate.
Branch: Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai
Free-zone entry, storage and re-export are managed in-house, so cargo is never handed to an unknown agent at the quay.

Our Tuas branch covers the regional distribution leg, which keeps one company responsible from the European collection bay to the Asian door.

Biosecurity is unforgiving here. Packaging is pre-checked in Europe against Australian timber and cleanliness rules before the box is sealed.

Germany shares a road and short-sea border with the rest of Europe, so a single export declaration carries the load door to door. The United States requires an ocean or long-haul air crossing, an ISF filing, a customs bond and a licensed broker at destination — all of which our Newark branch performs.
Per consignment, whatever its size. A pallet and a forty-foot container both need the same clearance, filing and branch supervision, so the charge does not multiply with volume.
Yes. Out-of-gauge, flat-rack and breakbulk moves are quoted individually because they need survey work, lashing certification and sometimes a police-escorted inland leg.
Identically. One CargoVault tracking number follows the consignment from collection in Europe through export, the sea or air leg, destination clearance and final signature.
