Branch-assisted corridor

Europe → Brazil

One of the heaviest paperwork regimes we handle, which is why the branch surcharge covers a dedicated despachante rather than an hourly bill. Everything on this page is handled by CargoVault staff at both ends — the European loading bay and the Santos, São Paulo branch — under one reference and one tracking number.

Who receives your cargo in Brazil

Our Santos, São Paulo office. Not a broker found on price that morning, not a name on a forwarding chain you never meet. The same company that sealed the consignment in Europe breaks the seal at destination, and the operator who does it is named on the record.

The paperwork this country demands

Siscomex registration, licence import (LI), local tax representation.

All of it is drafted while the cargo is still moving, so the entry is lodged before arrival rather than started after it. That single habit is the difference between a same-day release and a week of storage charges.

Why the border charge exists

$1,940.00 per consignment, stated before you book and never invoiced afterwards. It pays for destination clearance, terminal handling, local compliance filing, branch supervision and the first stage of inland delivery. It does not multiply with volume — a single pallet and a forty-foot box need the same work.

What the schedule really looks like

Sea 18–24 days · Air 2–5 days. We quote the range, not the best case, because weather routing, convoy slots and inspection queues are real. When a leg slips, the ETA in your dashboard changes on its own — and if the slip matters to your customer, you get a call instead of a silent update.

Proof, not promises

A completed Brazil shipment, replayed

Lisbon → Santos · 1 x 40ft container — packaging machinery, 19,700 kg. Open the replay and watch the live tracking run from collection in Europe to a signed delivery at destination — every checkpoint, every timestamp, exactly as the customer saw it on the day.

How a Brazil booking runs, step by step

  1. 01

Send the weight, commodity and delivery town. The estimate already carries the $1,940.00 border charge.

  2. 02

We confirm the sailing or flight and list the exact documents the destination authority will demand.

  3. 03

Cargo is collected in Europe, sealed, photographed and exported under our own licence.

  4. 04

The Santos, São Paulo branch pre-lodges the entry while the cargo is still in motion.

  5. 05

Clearance, release and inland delivery close out under the same tracking number.
