Scanned at every handover

A tracking number is only worth what stands behind it. Behind ours is a scan discipline that records who held your goods, where they were standing and at what minute — an unbroken chain from collection to signature that can be audited by you, by an insurer or by a court.

No handover without a scan

No handover without a scan

Nothing changes hands on trust. Each transfer captures the consignment barcode, a GPS position, a timestamp and the operator's own credential. If a scan is missing, the system flags a gap and a supervisor has to close it with an explanation. Gaps are where cargo disappears, so we treat an unexplained gap as an incident rather than an inconvenience.

Exceptions raised, not buried

Customs hold, weather delay, missed connection, refused delivery — each becomes a visible milestone with a reason and a next action rather than silence on a tracking page. We would rather tell you about a two-day hold on the day it happens than explain a week later why the estimate kept moving.

The timeline you read is the timeline our operations room works from. There is no better internal screen with the real story on it. That decision cost us the comfort of a private view and bought something worth far more: customers who believe the page in front of them.

Custody chain: what our crew says

Five of the team who run this part of CargoVault, on the work itself and on how far the company has come. Let it drift, or drag it yourself.

IS

Ingrid Solberg

Custody systems lead, Bergen

“We chose to show customers the same record we use, warts and all. It was frightening for about a month and then it became the reason people stayed with us.”
7 years at CargoVault
LB

Lucas Berger

Exception controller, Zurich

“My whole job is bad news delivered early. The company measures me on how fast I raise it, not on how few problems appear. That is the right way round.”
5 years at CargoVault
PH

Petra Havlíková

Scan compliance, Prague

“An unexplained gap gets a supervisor's name against it. Since we started doing that, gaps fell by more than ninety per cent without anyone being shouted at.”
6 years at CargoVault
MD

Michel Dupont

Claims evidence officer, Brussels

“When an insurer challenges a claim I send one export and the conversation ends. Ten years ago I was assembling evidence from memory.”
8 years at CargoVault
NK

Nora Kristensen

Operations room, Aarhus

“Watching a shipment move across the board and knowing every single dot was put there by a real person scanning a real box — that is the part of this job I would describe as proud.”
